I have created a webservice and hosted it in IIS but when i right click on webservice and click browse im getting this error..
I dont know much about hosting in iis,can anyone help me with this error??

The reason for this is that there is no default page listed in the application properties in IIS. Either set a default page for this service in IIS or request a specific page like: http://myservice.com/service.asmx
To set the default page in IIS:
Open IIS Manager -> Expand Web Sites node in the left panel -> Right click your web service -> Click Properties -> Documents tab -> Click Add -> Type the name of your service page (service.asmx) -> Move it up the order.

Hmm I am not sure why you are getting this error when you click on the webservice and select browse. This may happen if you browse the virtual directory with out providing the Service name or it doesn't have default aspx page.

Is it webservice or web page? which IIS version you used?

You can try running 'aspnet_regiis.exe -i' command as administrator. Please check the following article.
