The reason behind this is caching. In the past there were quite some performance issues with these forums taking posts a long time to get through or simply failing. Engineers at Neudesic didn't only rewrite large parts of the software but also took performance
into account. As a result to boost performance caching was introduced on many levels.
As a consequence some things are coming in later, like the points. Personally I prefer to have more performant forum that works than to see some points increased instantly (after you had to wait for 30 seconds to get your post actually posted).

There is both caching and asynchronous processing going on. If we synchronously processed points for everyone, and did no caching where the points are displaying, the site performance would suffer for everyone. If you had been participating in the site
a year or more ago, you might remember how comparatively slow this site was. The synchronous processing and lack of caching were 2 of the big reasons.
So while I appreciate the suggestion, it's not likely you'll see this put into place.

After adding the post in any thread it update the points but sometimes it take 2-5 minutes for this.
My suggestion is that if page already doing postback then it have to be update points instantly.
