(b) i did NOT put the extra "/t" in the link (i.e., i did not hand edit the pasted URL)
(c) deleting the extra "/t" from the address bar creates a link that works

In the post I am trying to update first and the third link. If you notice the first link, the real url of the link is
http://forums.asp.net/p/1685357/4440600.aspx/1?Re+How+to+call+an+asp+net+method+from+javascript.
If you see the first red circle of the image there is only one p i.e. (/p/). But if you hover over the link you will see the rul has two p's i.e.(/p/p/). You can check that in the circle 2.
In the red circle 4 you can see I am trying to update the link with the real url with one p (/p/). But i always update with two p's (/p/p/). Result of the update you can notice in the 5th circle where page is not found.
So, please correct the link update logic in the html editor.
Thanks & Regards

Thanks both of you for your reports on this editor bug. This bug is now logged, and we'll get to it as soon as we can. We've been working pretty heads down on
http://beta.asp.net but hope to fit in this work soon.
This thread I have started at 10-19-2011 07:49 PM with title as "Bug in post editor in forums.asp.net". But its really strange as I am asking and willing to know-
How you have added a post to the thread at 10-02-2011 02:48 AM with title "looks like a copy paste bug ... ???" where you have added a post to it after I have started the thread.
How this is possible? Can you please tell me the secret?
AFAIK, there is no secret ... instead of a secret, i have a theory ...
my best guess: someone noticed that although the thread started by you is different in subject than the thread started by me, it is for all intents and purposes the same topic. therefore, i suspect that a moderator, or someone with some moderator role
equivalent permissions, joined the two threads into one.

It was not clear from your previous post. Thanks for the description. I think this is a public forum and everything should be clear in policy as it appear. There was a mismatch in the title of the two posts in the thread.
Thanks & Regards

This problem should now be resolved. If you find problems with links in new posts, please let me know. We can't fix the old posts, but the new posts should be OK.
Thank you for the update, Terri. Too bad about the old posts but at least we can now move forward with less frustration.

looks like a copy paste bug ... ???
Oct 02, 2011 02:48 PM|LINK
example:
i've chosen this thread somewhat randomly:
http://forums.asp.net/t/1726232.aspx/1?using+classes notice the single "/t"
copy and paste from the address bar generally works ... but, for reasons that i do not understand, sometimes an extra "/t" gets injected.
example:
at http://forums.asp.net/t/1725885.aspx/2/10?C+date+time+format: these are broken
http://forums.asp.net/t/1723806.aspx/1?Convert+numeric+data+of+textbox+to+System+DateTime
http://forums.asp.net/t/1718175.aspx/1?How+to+parse+date+which+is+like+Wed+07+Sep+2011+07+03+13+EDT+
when the two links above are clicked, they look like this
http://forums.asp.net/t/t/1723806.aspx/1?Convert+numeric+data+of+textbox+to+System+DateTime and this
http://forums.asp.net/t/t/1718175.aspx/1?How+to+parse+date+which+is+like+Wed+07+Sep+2011+07+03+13+EDT
MORE INFORMATION:
(a) note the extra "/t" ....
(b) i did NOT put the extra "/t" in the link (i.e., i did not hand edit the pasted URL)
(c) deleting the extra "/t" from the address bar creates a link that works

Bug in post editor in forums.asp.net

Hi,
I noticed a bug in editing a link in a post. The post is-
http://forums.asp.net/p/1716954/4581919.aspx/1?Re+return+problem+
First of all have a look at the following image-
In the post I am trying to update first and the third link. If you notice the first link, the real url of the link is http://forums.asp.net/p/1685357/4440600.aspx/1?Re+How+to+call+an+asp+net+method+from+javascript.
