Suddenly when I opened WebMatrix again, the website I was working on was not in My Sites anymore. However, if I go to My Documents > My Websites, my website folder with all the files and subfolders is still there (Wordpress subfolders like wp-admin...).
I also still know the localhost address, but since I can not open my website in WebMatrix I can also not open that address in my browser. How to open my website again in WebMatrix?
Thanks in advance.

Right-click on the folder containing the site and choose Open As Web Site With Microsoft WebMatrix. That should also restore it to your list of sites.

Thanks for the quick reply! I just tried to open my website in that way by right-clicking on the 'parent' folder (the one inside the 'My Websites' folder). Then Webmatrix opens something, but when I go to 'site' and click on the localhost address I get the
error in Firefox: "No default document."
Should I open another (sub) folder in Webmatrix then? I'm sorry for asking. Until now it was working great every time but now suddenly it is gone...

Right click on whichever folder contains the root of the site. If you need to configure a default document, you can do so by clicking on Settings in the Site Workspace.

Thanks Mike for the reply again. When you say it it seems to be so easy but somehow I cannot manage it.
In the main folder of my website Wordpress put three sub-folders (wp-admin, wp-content and wp-includes). In wp-content there is for example a sub-folder 'themes', in which the theme is that I downloaded and slightly changed. And there is also a sub-folder
'uploads' in which I can find several pictures I uploaded (via the Wordpress admin function).
So, it seems everything is still there, but I don't see how to find my website again. The thing is, Webmatrix worked perfectly for me, so I didn't need to know how it worked before because I always just had to open it and that was enough...

open the folder of your site and check all your pages and settings are available. maybe something has been removed from your site that webmatrix needs it.

My pages are not there (they are in some database, I guess?), but everything else seems to be there (the theme, css styles, uploads, etc.). I just can not find out which folder to open with WebMatrix (i.e., what is the root of my site?). I everywhere see
index.php files but it seems that's not the root, is it?

The root of your WordPress site is the folder one level above all the wp-* folders. Once you "Open as Web Site in WebMatrix", you may also need to go into the Site workspace > Settings and enable PHP for the site.
Try running the site again after doing that...

Thank you very much simtan! In the end it turned out to be that simple, turn on PHP again. While installing it in the beginning that was turned on automatically, but now after Webmatrix forgot my site it became difficult...
