I have a 3rd party .ocx file I am trying to use in VS 2010. I have run regsvr32 on it as well. It has a grid like control I need to use so I really need to get this control working in VS 2010. What are the procedures in getting this in the tool box? I
have tried adding the COM object (grild like control) to the toolbox but it never showed up. I have never worked with .ocx files.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Refer below link
On Customized tool , here you can browse the thirrd party ocx file and you can use in VS 2010

That URL refers to Winforms (this is the ASP.Net site) so I need it to work on a standard web page. I am hoping it can.

if Active X control is applicable for ASPX pages then you can add in the same way.

I think you will have purchase it but it's on the Sterling Commerce site (ConnectDirect is what I am trying to use) - CDStats.ocx

if this is the licensed one then you need to check with the third party manual for use.But the way I mentioned you early is for using thrd party ocx.

1 - the manual is no help
2 - the web site is no help, posted on their forum and no activity and can't call unless I have a production problem.

You'd need to embed it in an <OBJECT> tag. Please check out this thread
