I am evaluating a few methods to spread a future WinForm application of mine to the web.
My goal is that the user is able to create forms that can be used in the WinForms-project as well as in a ASP.net site; so the forms can be used with any given smartphone or tablet.
I have been researching a while and I spoke to many people, but I still don't have an concrete answer on how to achieve this goal. For a short time I thought that WPF and Silverlight are the solution but for the reason that apple does not allow plugins I
have to get back to ASP.net.
1. Are there enough similarities between WinForms and ASP.net that I am able to write a converter who creates a ASP.net project from a WinForms-project?
2. Does anyone have another idea on how to solve this requirement?

There is a big diifference between the windows forms and asp.net programming model. Asp.net is stateless that means once the web page is loaded any form level variables go out of scope.

You can Convert your application from WinFoms to Asp.Net.
But The Answer to
"Can be used in the WinForms-project as well as in a ASP.net site"
No .Same Application cant run on both
Solution if you want to make application work on web as w ell as winforms .
Make two Applications(One Window and One Web) in such a manner that both are replicas to eachother.
