Please forgive me as I am a newbie at ASP. I am trying to setup a simple default.aspx webpage in Visual Studio 2010 using Godaddy as my host. I have created a New Website and pointed it to my Godaddy server and it connects and creates a default.aspx page
for me. Without changing anything what so ever, and simply right clicking on the default.aspx page to "view in browser" I get the Server Error in Application page. I did read it and I made what I think are the correct changes to the web.config file (I added <cutomErrors
mode="off" /> under system.web). I was told this will allow me to see the "real" error but I still get the same thing after I save it.
I have double check my hosting info. I am running from a shared windows server with IIS 7 and I have the default page using ASP 3.5 and Godaddy says that IIS7 supports this.
Again, I am a newbie so this is probably something VERY simple. Any help with this is very much appreciated! Thanks!

One thing off hand that can cause this is the web site may not be configured as an application on the GoDaddy host. Log into your control panel and make sure that your site is an application. Let me know if that helps.

Maybe this similar posting can help? http://forums.asp.net/t/970186.aspx
I would recommend looking through their online documentation. I can't reach them from where I'm at. Sorry :(
