On Friday, February 11 2011, we pushed the Release Candidate build for the new ASP.NET forums site:
http://beta-forums.asp.net/. Many thanks to all who have used the beta and have provided valuable feedback!
Based on feedback from all of you, we have made the forums easier to read, faster to load, and have improved the Search experience. Features and enhancements include:
Faceted "instant" search
Forum-focused Search on forum pages
Searching across Answered threads
More discoverable "Answered" post item treatment
Post preview experience is Ajax-enhanced
New code highlighter
Improved Ajax-enhanced tagging
Improved mobile support
Revamped Reply experience
Private Message inbox count
New "Unresolved Threads" shortcut
Simplified and re-organized user profiles
Added Twitter to user profile
Updated user "badges"
Various bug fixes
We are planning on cutting over to this new version on Tuesday, February 15! So please do let us know if there are any remaining issues you would consider to be show-stoppers.
also in private messaging if i want to edit my reply i can not ? if its not possible then one option should be there for delete that reply if i made some mistake.
see my reply using code highlighter its not properly align why?
It's difficult to say as I am not sure what browser you were using or how the code was added to the post (and if it was pasted in, what was pasted in exactly). Are you having continuing difficulty with the Insert Code tool on the beta, or was this post
more of an isolated case?

I see private messages more as an email thread...where you cannot edit the message or delete it after it's been sent. But I have logged your feedback on this.
I am curious about when you are going to launch this version? also can you tell me that only Forum will work in this look or whole asp.net site will change in this?
**I will miss two things in new site first one is code highlighter and second user's current status(online/offline).
Are there specific features that you are missing from Syntax Highlighter that our new code highlighting tools is missing?
It may be that i was use to for that Syntax Highlighter but i am pretty sure for current status of user(Online/Offline) and i lost that feature in new release. What is your opinion about this?

Thank you for using the beta and providing your feedback!
That is intentional. Please see this thread: http://beta-forums.asp.net/t/1649110.aspx?Beta+site+39+s+Insert+Code+tool+doesn+39+t+have+a+Language+dropdown+

Thanks Terri.
I appreciate all the changes in beta forum except code highlighter prettify. I was quite happy with Syntax Highlighter.
Hope to see final version of forum soon. :)
