Okay here is the deal. I am a member of these forums since 2007 and lately I am participating more actively to help out people in the asp.net mvc forum. I have noticed that my answers got unmarked a couple of times and I could not care less although these
were correct but now this is getting ridiculous. I also noticed that when I give the correct answer and someone else with a higher rep, whatever that means, gives the same answer, that his answer gets marked as being the correct answer by someome from MSFT
or hy the OP but in most cases it is someone from MSFT. If this is how it works here then I can see how some people have more than 100 marked answers over the last 30 days.
Nevertheless I will continue to help developers wherever I can, I just wanted to get this off my chest...
Give a man a fish and you will feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you will feed him for a lifetime.
Thanks for the report. What you are describing is not how things should work. Could you provide some examples where this has happened so that I can look into it?
I think these think are in hand of Moderators. For Example I have added some Images In my Signature as Twitter, facebook, LinkedIn
I don't know But Now They are not present in My signature.
If any Moderator removed this then should me given some notification about this.
Only One day I got a notification that XIII deleted my reply I know that was not related to context of post on that reply the poster write my name in wrong format so i gave a reply as its
Rajneesh not Ramheesh
So its does not matter because that was useless reply..
It is hard to tell exactly which threads. I see that my recognition points go down and when I look in my profile I see that it is because answers were unmarked. In other cases someone asks a question and there are multiple and different solutions so when
the op marks two replies from the same person as the answer that gets afterwards 'corrected'.
To give another example it is possible that ignatandrei replies with a correct answer and that I for example would reply with an identical answer at the same time but after him that I take the credits for it which is a bit unfair for him or anyone else in
a similar situation.

I looked through about 1/2 of all your posts and was only able to find one thread where your post had been unmarked. The thread's OP unmarked it about 30 seconds after they had originally marked it.
Based on the thread content, the unmarking done by the OP in that thread does seem to be proper. It actually looks like the OP may simply have mis-clicked your post given how quickly they unmarked.
But that was the only one i was able to locate where an unmarking had occurred.
Note that the OP gets final say on an answer mark for their questions, so if you are awarded the answer mark from a MSFT community support member (often when it seems the OP has forgotten), then the OP later returns and disagrees with the selected answer,
the OP can change the answer mark to the specific post that was their actual answer.

It is hard to tell exactly which threads.
The thread will revert to being UnRead (slightly bolder title) for you if the answer marking is set/reset.
I did not even know for this thread that the OP marked my response as an answer because I asked a question I did not even give an answer on this thread. There is some guy from MSFT regularly going through the posts on the ASP.NET MVC forum deciding which
replies should be marked as answer and which should not be. In all honestly I don't give a rat's *** about these points but it is frustrating to see that you are helping out some dude and that someone else is getting the credits for it. I prefer that nobody
gets the credits in that case. Or that it is at least clear how the system works.
Anyway like I mentioned before this will not stop me from helping out coders like myself where I can especially on the ASP.NET MVC forum...

For all of your posts i looked at, the thread OP sometimes gave you the answer mark. A bit more often, somebody from Msft gave you the answer mark. I was unable to locate instances beyond the one i referenced where an answer mark was removed from your post.
As Terri mentioned, It seems that an example thread would be needed to help us better understand what you are seeing.

The community site here is about... well... community.
The recognition points system tries to recognize the most helpful members, but like you, many of us participate for reasons unrelated to the points.
There is some guy from MSFT regularly going through the posts on the ASP.NET MVC forum deciding which replies should be marked as answer and which should not be.
The MSFT people only look at threads that are unresolved (with no answer marked) and are over a week old. If they find an answer in the thread, they will mark it. Otherwise they will try to answer the thread themselves. I suspect new hires are given the
task to let them get the hang of customer support...so occassionally mistakes are made. Thanks for your report.
In all honestly it was not my intention to unchain some kind of war. I truly have the utmost respect for everyone in this community and now that things are a bit clear I consider this closed. I apologise if I have offended anyone if I did, this was unintentionally.
