I am working with SSRS reports .I have one report called AllOrderDails with Order_No, Order_Date, Project_Name, Boiler_Name, RefNo, Total_NoItems, Total_GrossWeight, Expected_Date .It shows all order Details ,when i click Order_No it shows another report
called OrderDetails. It shows only single Order_No details....In OrderDetails page i am using one textbox for back .It is for going back to AllOrderdetails.
My problem is when i click Order_No in AllOrderDetails page it's show OrderDetails page withrelated Order_No,when i click back it goes to AllOrderDetails Page but It's not displaying any data.....

Did you utilize the Action of “Jump to report” property for your purpose? If so, there is no need for you to add a textback to return to parent report, as the toolbar contains a back button in subreport, you can click the button to return. To your phenomena,
please make sure both of main report and subreport work fine and passing the right parameter to the subreport, you can test them separetly.

I utilized the action 'jump to report' ,in my parent report i have fromdate and todate parameters, in my child report i have OrderNo as parameter ,in AllOrderDatails page i used jump report for OrderNo same like in OrderDatails page for back ,OrderDetails
page i use back for return back to AllOrderDetails Page... It show me that page with Fromdate and Todate without data.

Based on your scenario, you can follow these points to solve the issue:
1. Do the parent report and child report work fine? you can test them seperately.
2. Does the parameters Fromdate and Todate in parent report have a default value? if not , it will display nothing besides the parameter drop-down list.
If possilbe you could post the detailed steps you created both of the reports, which will help us get a better undertanding about the problem, and give a proper solution. Thanks.

I did run my reports supperatly it's working well.
All Orders -parent report
SELECT Order_No, Order_Date, Project_Name, Boiler_Name, RefNo, Total_NoItems, Total_GrossWeight, Expected_Date
WHERE ( ( Submit_Status=1) AND (CONVERT(DATETIME, Order_Date, 103) BETWEEN convert (DATETIME,@FromDate,103) AND Convert (DATETIME,@ToDate,103) ) )
I set the property for OrdeNo jump to report OrderDetails Report when I click OrderNo
OrderDetails –child report
SELECT Order_No, Order_Date, Project_Name, Boiler_Name, RefNo, Total_NoItems, Total_GrossWeight, Remarks, Expected_Date
WHERE (Order_No = @Order_No)
SELECT Tt_LineItems.GRVNo, Tt_LineItems.SerialID, Tt_LineItems.ColloNo, Tt_LineItems.AI_Order, Tt_LineItems.AI_Pos, Tt_LineItems.AI_Package, Tt_LineItems.Quantity,
Tt_LineItems.Pakage_Type, Tt_LineItems.DescMat1, Tt_LineItems.DescMat2, Tt_LineItems.DescMat3, Tt_LineItems.DescMat4, Tt_LineItems.DescMat5,
Tt_LineItems.DescMat6, Tt_LineItems.DescMat7, Tt_LineItems.DescMat8, Tt_LineItems.HPE_Component_ItemNo, Tt_LineItems.Destination, Tt_LineItems.Length,
Tt_LineItems.Width, Tt_LineItems.Height, Tt_LineItems.Volume, Tt_LineItems.Net_Weight, Tt_LineItems.Gross_Weight
FROM Tt_LineItems INNER JOIN
Tt_GRVDetails ON Tt_LineItems.GRVNo = Tt_GRVDetails.GRVNo
WHERE (Tt_LineItems.Order_Status = 1) AND (Tt_LineItems.Order_No = @Order_No)
If I click ordeNo in AllOrders page it opens this page.
In OrderDatails page for back I use jump to report to AllOrders page .
If I click back it goes back but on data

If possible, send the report rdl and its relevant picture to me through email: sqltnsp
AT microsoft DOT com. To reproduce your issue, i hope you also can attach sample data for me in the mail and describe some details about the report. Once i recieve your email, i will give you a feedback as soon as possible.

I have already received your email; please allow me to ask this question again “Does the parameters Fromdate and Todate in parent report have a default value? If not, it will display nothing besides the parameter drop-down list, so you have to select the
parameters again to view the report.
If you have any question, please feel free to ask.

sorry i am not getting you, what is default value?explain me...
Jun 21, 2010 09:01 AM|You-Hu Fu|LINK
When you create the parameters FromDate, ToDate, you will see Default Values option in Report Parameters window. You could select Not-queried option, and type in the a default value for parameter such as:
2001-2-2, from your picture in the email, I find that you drag a textbox to add button back for returning, since there is a back button in ReportViewer control’s toolbar, why you add another button to achieve this? If you have no special purpose, I
would recommend you utilize the back button in the toolbar, then you can keep your main report without default value.
To the position of the back button, please see this picture:
If you have any question, please ask without any hesitation.

It is just a example to show you how to give a default value to parameter, without default value for the parameter you will get a blank page when you return from the subreport, of course, you can type in the expression =Today() to get today value or other
date rather than 2010-2-2. I hope you could understand this time. Thanks.
