Has anyone figured how to  show categories in the search selection only when an item exists 

That is if there where 10 top level categories but only 3 say had items listed - only show this information and not the empty 7

empty categories

this is a bit long process, first select the contents of the categories into a variable then check if the variable contents is greater then 0
