Are you looking for Windows 2008 or Windows 2003? Almost all providers will allow you to install your own software on VPS. However, there may be some limitations on Virtuozzo VPS since it is OS virtualization. You can however consider Hyper-V based VPS for complete control and high level of isolation. Also, what are your disk space/bandwidth/RAM requirements?

Could you suggest any US VPS provider. I am not looking for a very high spec package and have no preference over which Windows O/S it is. The website I will be hosting are very basic frontend with SQL Server backend.

You should be able to get a VPS with around 1 GB RAM at around $50-$60/mon. Is this within your budget?

Not the cheapest, but i use MaximumAsp. Their customer support is completly amazing and then some, based on hyper-v, nice control panel, and will bend over to make you happy.
