Hi, Can anybody explain, what is the relation and relevance co-ordination between webhosting and domain registration. Is it mandatory to purchase both in single company? Because I already purchased some domains in one company which is not providing windows hosting. That’s way I chosen another company for webhosting. Is it mandatory to transfer all my domains to that company where I purchased the web space?

I am really confused in these processes.

So please guide me with appropriate information.

What are best methods for this process?

Why we need to transfer our domains to another company?

    Thanks and Regards,

    Aravind Kumar

    Hello Aravind,

Domain registration and web hosting are separate services that can be purchased from separate providers. The domain name is mapped to the hosting provider through DNS "name servers". The name servers for each domain name can be set at the registrar, typically through a control panel provided by the registrar. Most registrars and hosting providers have name servers. However, I would recommend using the hosting provider's name servers because they are typically pre-configured for their hosting service. The domain registrar's name servers can be used as well, but will require the DNS records be set up manually.

You just have to change the name servers of the registered domains to your hosting provider, and you have to add that domain name in your hosting provider control panel pointing the site.

Sometimes it is safe to have the domain registered seperately.
