I have a details view (with the CssFriendlyControl Adpaters) that is being used in insert mode. This is only being used to insert new records. It isn't being used to do the typical insert, edit, and delete.
I liked the idea of using the details view like this because it could be styled the same as the others in my Mater/Details very easily. It has presented some issues though. I want to be able to validate user input with C#. I am not sure how to do this
with this? Can they be used with any of the controls that implement the Css Friendly Control Adapters? Can it be used with the GridView?
Does all of the validation have to be done in the back end?
This is the input area created with the control adapters:
<input name="ctl00$ContentPlaceHolder1$InsertCustomer$ctl01" type="text" title="ID" />
