As long as you have plenty of RAM, you should be fine with Windows 7. Remember that this is pre-production, so there is a lot of debug code that may not provide optimal performance.

Fallout 3 apparently installs a beta version of .net framework which is causing crash problems. I need to reinstall the .net 3.5 from the microsoft website but I can't install it. Windows 7 tells me to use "Turn windows features on or off" in Control Panel
to install or configure .Net Framework. But I can only turn it on or off, not reinstall it! Anyone have any ideas? Thanks
Your machine configuration is definately compatible to work with windows 7 as per your model you have mentioned you have enough processor and ram speed go a head and install Windows 7
you can even try Visual Studio 2010 which have all options frameworks 2.0,3.0,3.5 and 4.0
I have Windows 7 beta with VS2010 beta1 its working fine with similar processor / ram speed but its desktop- but dont worry it will work
Once time, i setup IBM Tools in windows 7(IBM Standalone Solutions Configuration Tool). But it's not success. System require install .NET 1.1. But in windows 7 have .NET 2.0, 3.5 . So, I couldn't set up this software.

You should be able to install these applications on Windows 7. In fact, the .NET Framework versions 2.0, 3.0, and 3.5 should already be installed.

Thanks a lot. Uninstalling all the VC++ and independent framework software of 2010 framework4 made it happen.
