When we look at thread lists, we see the status:  example http://forums.asp.net/188.aspx

BUT, from within the actual thread, example http://forums.asp.net/t/1443139.aspx, it is not possible to tell the status.

    WHY   THIS   IS     A    PROBLEM
Okay, it's not that much a problem if one comes from the thread list, depending on the immediate state of one's short term memory.

Regardless, it is often a problem if one jumps inside a thread from a link that is not directly off of the thread list.

This can happen if the link is from within another thread, from a Google search, et cetera.

Depending on the age of the thread, it may be time consuming to hunt down the status.  Of course, one can look to see whether an answer is marked.  That too can waste time if there are multiple pages of answers.

Just as one sees the status on the thread list, please also include it within the thread pages.

    Thank you.

    Regards,
    Gerry (Lowry)

Yes, I'm glad we are in agreement on this.  NeuDesic, are you listening?

Max, I hope now that the majority of repliers to this post are in agreement that this time it will happen.

Have a great day and keep your fingers crossed*.

    Gerry

    * trivia:  for "cross your fingers" for a wish to come true, Germans say instead "hold your thumbs".

Yes, this feature should be a part of a future site redesign.
