    Hi,

I am developing a crystal report from a ms access database. as we know the name field of the database keeps on varying in width. i am using this field in the midlle of a sentence. for example:

This is to certify that Mr.Rakesh is an employee of our company.

here, i am using 2 text boxes and an database field. "This is to certify that Mr." in one text box and "is an employee of our company." in another.

The problem is if i have set the name field length to a particular width,, then if the width of the field changes, either the name is being clipped if the width increases or the gap remains if the name width decreases. if i set the can grow option and with a 0 entry,, the name gets printed in 2 lines, which i dont want. if i check the can grow option and set the maximum lines as 1, then the problem doesnt solve. If anybody can tell me how to cange the width of the field according to the width of the name, it would be very helpfull.

    Thanking you

    dinshu.

Place one TextBox which has the content like:

"This is to certify that is an employee of our company"

Drag the Database field which contains "Mr. Rakesh" value and drop on the TextBox exactly at the place between "This is to certify that" AND "is an employee of our company"

    hope it helps./.
