    Hi guys,

I have been prepairing for the MCTS Cert for the last 2 months and I wrote the 70-536 - Application Development Foundation exam yesterday and failed, but only by a bit, which is frustrating. I purched the book last year and eventually decided to get my ass in gear and get certified. I am a web application developer and I have almost 4 years experiance developing small to medium web apps.

I was constantly scoring 95% + for the measure up test simulation that came with the Microsoft Study Guide for this specific exam and was shocked to find out that the questions in the exam were considerably more indepth and complicated and did not compliment the software I received in the book.

I have been Googling reviews on microsoft exams and the individuals that have passed complimented the Microsoft Study guide with additional testing software from the following retailers:

    trancender

    measureup

    ucertify

I was wondering if any of you had any experiance with the above mentioned test software packages and if you could recommend one to me. From my internet research I found that trancender looks to be the best, ucertify had a brain dump issue in the past any I dont have any faith in measureup since i used their software for my exam and was uncomplimentary.

I want to write again soon... strike while the iron is hot :-)

    Thanks

    Bryan

    Cool Hi,

    Just i earn same examination,

Actually i reffered Microsoft publication book,It is nice but , I read it only for knowladge purpose,

I learn pass4sure brain dumps it is too nice, I earn 911 marks only because of the dumps.

Mostly exam question are come from dumps,

so it is nice if you purchase dumps.

The exact reason nobody cares about certifications. When you can study the questions and pass, not knowing how to do what the exam certifies, you make the certification useless to everyone.

Yea, dont condone brain dumps either, hence the reason i dont want to choose ucertify. I currently work in South Africa, but sayed and worked in London for 2 years. In London you can get way with just experiance for example a mate of mines boyfriend works at rockstar games and he has no formal qualifications at all, no degree or anything. He started developing mods for quake back in the day and got a good rep. presented that to his employer and he was accepted onto the team.

In South Africa, my home country, they are VERY anal about qualifications. The more you have the better you earn. So if you are a developer with 10years experiance and no formal qualifications, I can come in at a much higher salary than you if i have a degree + MCPD and 4 years experiance. They also wont even consider you for a post here unless you have the specified qualifications regardless of your experiance. Sad but true.

I have no intention of using brain dumps, I just want a testing package that can accuratelly assess my knowledge. For example if i had scored below 700 on a practice test that was as intense at the real exam then it would be back to the books for me because I dont know all that i need to know to pass the real exam. Not as it currently stands where i am getting 95%+ for practice exams, which gives you false hope, then get to the exam expecting to pass and get shocked by the questions.

    So still... any suggestions :-)

Just answering to the microsoft book in the CD they provided will not make you provide good enough to finish your exam.  It is better to finish the practice tests from the book given, I mean the lab test etc.  And you do some practice over and over again by spending some time.  In my case, I too failed in my first round, so I took the MS second shot offer.

No I haven't had experience with them.  Just study and use common sense when you're in the exam.  You'll pass.  Don't choose the easy way.
