I just booted up into my Windows 7 pc and came here on IE8 so I was logged out. I found the new option to link your windows live id to your asp.net login so I did it.

It takes you to a page on login.asp.net but the link accounts success page has broken images because (I guess) it points at an app_themes that doesnt exist.

Thanks for the report.  It looks to me more like the issue is that the link accounts page is being called over https, and the ASP.NET logo image on that page has an absolute path to http.  We'll try to get that fixed sometime this week.

The other broken images on that page are coming from mscommunities.com, and that domain's SSL certificate has expired and we are working with their team to get that resolved. 

Seems this was an issue only with IE8, and is now resolved.
