Hi,

how to create a video controller similar to that in youtube? is it possible to make either a custom control or a user control? This should show the available videos and the user can click and play the desired video. Can this be done in asp.net or can we embed the code in html? Any help anyone could suggest would highly be appreaciated.

this is best done with flash or Silverlight. You might be interested in this control: http://www.aspnetflash.com/. But there are also Silverlight variants or tutorials on how to create this to be found via google or bing.com.

i checked http://www.aspnetflashvideo.com/ and http://www.aspnet-video.com/ both links are there in the same page itself. But its not free i think. D am using MS DotNet framework 2.0. Dude, can we go for the youtube Data APIs or some custom video players and emebeding the code inside the html form?
