I have just started having some challenges checking out and in files from VS08 on Vista with latest service packs.

I'm using SourceGear Vault version 4.1.3 (18336) and have *.tmp files added to my working solution as well as Vault.  Vault was working great for about 8 months, then I had the great idea to setup Shadow Folders and my world fell apart.  I have removed the shadowed folder, but I now have *.tmp files creating in my working folder solution and multiple errors when checking files in and out.

Specifically, error reads when checking out a file:
Item $/folder/solution/~lkajsdlfkjas2304.TMP caused the transaction to fail: Failure

Found the solution.  These errors were the result of a locked/single user database mode on SQL.  I believe this happened when I attempted to install the Vault Server updated and canceled out.  With the help of SourceGear (great support), restarting SQL Service fixed issues.
