Why Enterprise Library Framework Doesn't throw Exception?

    It's very annoying to work with Enterprise Library as the framework doesn't throw any exception when it doesn't do what it can't do!

    For instance, I have added an Email TraceListener but the email to and from and SMTPServer have all wrong values. ExceptionPolicy.HandleException(...) runs without raising any exception.

    Also I have tested it with a Database Listener and it has the same behaviour.

    In this way, obviously, it's very hard to debug (just try and error) and makes this tool maybe unreliable because if for any reason it stops working on Production then you won'g notify it.

    I really hope Microsoft will fix this in the next version.
