Is there a way to get Visual Studio to graphically represent the database Diagram? If so, how do you do that?

Yes,
Click on the Database Explorer window, open up your database, and expand the Database Diagramming node.
Say yes if it asks you if it can do blah blah so that diagramming is supported (just assigns you as the owner of the db).
Then you can right click Add Diagram and put whichever tables on that you want to see.
