The gridview is only responsible for displaying the data provided to it, but does allow for some inline editing. Really you need to take those rows and do the moving to the gridview's datasource. After your done moving rebind the data back to the datagrid.
Are you manually binding your data to the gridview or are you using a datasource control?

Now you can add the Selected Rows to a DataTable Here I have taken an example of 3 columns you can add the columns in ur GridView1
dt.Rows[dt.Rows.Count - 1][
Now Bind this DataTable dt to ur Second GridView

Use datatable select to find out if they are already present
Dim dr as DataRow() = dt.Select("Name = 'MAK'")
if dr.length >0
Record does not exists

<div id=ctl00_ctl00_bcr_bcr_PostForm__QuoteText>Hey thanks and have another Q..could y please help me..
Here is the scenario..There are two DB's. I will show the user the available products in the left grid and the user will select some and put some products under his name.. Thats mean when ever he selects some i will show them in the second grid.
what i will do is.. i will save the products ID's in the my database and wont save the product names and other stuff.. When again user wants to edit his existing list.. i have to query these product id's to another database and should remove the products that
he already selected and show them in the first Grid. The first grid i am binding to Data set. and even the second grid to.. The first grid dataset has columns like productId, name, price, and second grid dataset initially has .. only product id's. is there
any removing functionality ? or Can u suggest me the best way?</div>
Is it necessary to save to the database??
Since when user selects some item you can same them either in another datatable or some array and keep it in Session so that its not lost during postback
Once user confirms you can put that in the DataBase

Suppose the Grid1 Data ie the complete list is in table1 in DataBase
and the selected list is sotred in table2 in DataBase
then you can run this Query
Seelct * from table1
where ProductID not IN
(Select ProductID from table2)
In this way the seelcted items will not be present in the Grid1
