I have a asp web application, where i use sql server 2005 as backend. This application generates reports . Before i was using SQL Server 2000, now its migrated to 2005. When i generate report for small date range then it works fine. But when the date range
is big then around half of the report is generated and the following error is thrown.
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server
[DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen (Connect()).]SQL Server does not exist or access denied.
...out.asp, line 405
Am sure the webcode is working fine and am connecting to the Database successfully because half of the report is being generated. I have also set the maximum download size in IIS. I guess the problem is with migrating to 2005. Please let me know what could
be the problem.

If U are Using Express Edition then in your Connection String, Write Server=ServerName\SQLEXPRESS,
Write your Instance Name With Server.

I dont think the error is because of the date range in the where clause.
Can you please execute the same query in the Management Studio and check whether you are able to get the complete data.

In that case in asp we have to get only timed out error not the access denied error.
Can you please check how much time query is taking and whether indexed are created on the table.
