I have dozens of IT books and I have a rule that says: "Do not read books that are older than 5 year!".

So I have a lot of books I do not read anymore.

What to do with these books?

    Throw them away?
    Give them to charity?
Keep them, so it looks cool and everybody can see how intelligent and smart I am (cynic, lawyers and politicians do this al the time, watch the interviews with them. These losers have bookshelves full with garbage and piles of papers on there desk, and an hourly rate of 3 times mine, so maybe I have to use this trick also, cynic again ;-).

    What to do?

As soon as you throw them out you will need one of them Smile

I have two Delphi 3 books on my shelf that I am *almost* ready to throw out to make some space...

Well I guess you can recycle the dead technologies... nobody is going to want them.

I wonder if there is a charity that takes old technology books in? I know there is one for the old video games which is attempting to categorise every game ever produced.

Just sometimes the older books contain examples on how do something that gets cut from the next edition to save space.

You should donate the old books to needy people. We provide an online platform for people to sell and buy old books in India. www.mystudystuff.com If you have such thing in your area, sell your books there or give it for free!!!... think of the knowledge you gained from those books and someone else being benefited from the same.
