I mean come on, thats just silly. Sounds like someone was having too much fun proving they copied and pasted a Regex pattern for strong password validation :P
I have well over 100 forum memberships and I always have very loose passwords because they are forums and not my finances, now you make me put the password for this forum into my "medium risk strength" bucket of passwords and for a web forum I kinda resent
it :p

There are more reasons to log in here than just posting questions and answers. Developers can log in, administrators can log in etc...
We can only wonder at what "mysterious powers" Joe Stagner might have when he logs in. :-)
I'm already in the habit of making all of my passwords strong passwords nowadays.
