I have the task of collecting email messages to be forwarded to individuals on our site. I need to be able to display the email forwards ordered by who gets them (show all the emails for Harry, then Jane, then Arthur, etc.), 100 at a time. The administrator
needs to be able to read each one and delete any email deemed inappropriate. I will soon be allowing people who submit emails for forwarding to also upload a small photo. The admin needs to be able to delete the photo only, or delete the entire email. I'm
hoping to have the photos stored in the database.
I'm thinking a gridview control would be my best bet, but I want the administrator to be able to fully read each email without having to resort to a detailsview. Can a gridview be set to auto expand a cell's height to accommodate the contents?
The other options would be a repeater ot a datalist, but deleting a field in the row or the row itself would be more difficult.
Is there something I haven't thought of?

if you can use Listview it's much better for tweaking,
did you ever get your master page problem solved?

No, I found a work around.
Listview? I'll take a look at it. Thanks.

I'm using an objectdatasource with a strongly typed dataset. The listview shows all the table's fields, not just those I want it to display.

liammcmullen, I've been working with the listview. I have it pretty much the way I want it, except for one thing: my customer wants 100 records per page, and they need to be editable. After scrolling down, I click on an edit button, and the screen goes
back to the top. I need to scroll down again to find the record I'm editing. After editing, I click update and I'm at the top again. Is there any way to remain at the record I'm working with?

Add this to your page
<%@ Page MaintainScrollPositionOnPostback="true" %>

That did it! After playing around with it a bit, I really like the ListView!
