i installed vs2005 on vista home premium.. when i try to create new website it displays follwing msg ...unable to create website "http://localhost/website". The webserver does not appear to have front page extensions installed.
can any bdy help ...
1) use VS2008
2) use File Based sites, not IIS based.
thankx Curt i tried to use file based sites ... but once i try to run that the browser is unable to open that file ....
for development run it through Visual Studio.
After that you can publish to a Server for others to access, or publish it to the folder where you have your IIS pointing and then access it if you really need to have local IIS access.
i am running it through vs only .. its not opening
is there an errror?
