  • How to run a site in IIS 5.1 (Win XP Pro)?

I created a web site using Visual Studio 2005 in Windows Vista Home Pre, and everything was fine if I started my web site using Visual Studio 2005. But I have the following error when I run it using IIS 5.1 in Win XP Pro.

I created a virtual directory and map it to my web site (D:\EC)

Anybody knows why, and help me, please?

    Thank first.

Your IIS is set to run the site against ASP.NET version 1.x. You need to move it to 2.0. Go into the IIS administration console and bring up the web site properties dialog. Click on the ASP.NET tab and change the dropdown to 2.0.
