hi guys, my PC recently crashed and i had to reload everything from scratch. i was using vs2005 but figured i might as well take this oppurutnity to move up to 2008, however when i add a tab in the toolbox, choose items, select the ajaxcontroltoolkit.dll from the bin folder, and select done, nothing happens. the tab doesn't get populated by the controls. i've tried rebooting, doing it numerous times, etc etc. nothing's worked. i quick downloaded vs web dev 2005 to try it, and it worked fine there. anyone know wtf is going on? i'm pulling my hair out. (NOT a fan of vs2k8 so far) 

 try dragging and dropping the toolkit dll on the tab. It should add all the controls to the tab. Also if you are targetting .NET 2.5 make sure that you have the 3.5 version of the toolkit dll

just tried dragging it over, not working. guess i'll try uninstalling the whole damn thing and starting from scratch. 

i went ahead and installed 2k5 instead of deal with this. can i ask you a related question? how would you reccomend going about getting AJAX back on my toolbox if i installed AJAX essentials before VS, so it's not automatically there? (installed vs2k8, installed ajax, uninstalled vs2k8, installed vs2k5) 

 since ajax ( other than the toolkit) is built into the 3.5 Framework, just install Vs 2008 and you should be good to go
