Hello I am a beginner. I have gone through ADO.NET concepts but i didnot put into practice.what is the best way to practice ADO.NET? I read the ADO.NET concepts from the text book " Build your own website using asp.net 2.0 using C# or VB" but when i looked into this datatutorials in this site (http://www.asp.net/learn/data-access/) i was little bit shocked by the way he was explaining to the beginners. So Can any one suggest what is the best way to practice ADO.NET? Do you suggest me to go through the above link as i am a beginner?

That series of tutorials only covers Typed DataSets.  If you want something a little more generic (just plain ADO.NET) with Access, then these tutorials are going to be better: http://msconline.maconstate.edu/tutorials/aspnet20/default.htm

This should be a  very good start: http://www.asp.net/learn/videos/

by the way, next time when you post a question, you would get more responses if you name the subject more specific.

I think you should go ahead practice since that series of video include enough information to create a powerful website.  with asp.net sql server is the default database choice.

once you start, you could learn more as needed.

I pointed you to that site because you posted to the Access forum,so I assumed you are using Access.  That site doesn't feature Oracle at all. For Sql Server, follow Iberan's advice.  She also offers good advice on constructing posts here too, to get the best response.  Just make sure it is posted to the correct forum.

    Hi,

The link http://msconline.maconstate.edu/tutorials/aspnet20/default.htm  sometimes doesnot open the databases while going through the tutorials.I use Internet explorer. What is the problem with this?

I am totally confused as to why you think that site even mentions Oracle, when it does not, but nevermind.  Try this article, http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/e80y5yhx(vs.80).aspx or use Google to find some ADO.NET tutorials, or perhaps buy a book.
