    Hello,

Yesterday my site was working just fine, until Visual Studio 2005 Pro caused a blue screen on my laptop.  After I rebooted, the webdev server wouldn't serve any pages.  Pages that I requested would come back blank.  URLs that point to pages that don't exist come back blank.  If I made the web.config invalid, I would get an error message.  I had concluded that the server was not executing the ASP runtime.  I tried the same tests after converting the site to run in IIS and got the same results, blank pages.  I tried repairing the .NET installation by running the .NET 3.5 installer, which didn't help.  I ran the reg iis exe for .NET 2.0 and that didn't help either.  This is happening for all sites on the computer now.  There is no firewall software except for what ships with W2K3.

Does anyone have any ideas?  Much appreciated.

I used fiddler and determined that the status code being returned was 404.  Researching 404 and webdev webserver turned up NTFS permissions problems.  I recreated the web application in a different directory and it is now working.
