    I'm a bit new to AD and was wondering if someone could help.

     

    I'm reviewing a list of user accounts in AD and there are accounts as part of the Domain Computers group with account types of workstation.

    Maybe i'm being a bit naive but why would a computer need an account in AD and what can be done by these accounts?

    Domain policies can be assigned by computer as well as by user account.  There are other reasons you maight use the computer account too, check a decent AD or Server Management book or site for more.
