can some body help me to change my name displayed in public profile.

i want to do this because when i created my account i put my email id as name. now this is creating problem for me now.

i dont want my email id be visible the way it is.

so please some body help me here to change my name.

You cannot change your user name. I believe your best option would be to create another account and request a moderator to disable the old one.

thanks for reply actually me too know this is quite not possible...and i can create new profile but what about all the points i have earnned and all the post for which i have answered as i want all of them as it is.

Still, is it possible that like as we do in some public websites as orkut where we can change our public name.

Nope, not here. Since User Name and Displayed Name is not seperate here, that is not possible.
