Hi,

 I am trying to setup Cassini service from installshield. I have added CassiniService.exe as a key file to one of the installehield project component. And associated a NT Service to this key file. Build the installshield project. During installation in one of the dialog box (Setup Progress dialog box), its trying to Start the service but its failing. What am I missing.

Please help.

Thanks for your help!! Well I found what I was missing. Cassini.dll was the dependency of CassiniService.exe and I was installing Cassini.dll to GAC using gacuitl.exe(version 1.something)....however I was suppose to install Cassini.dll to GAC using gacutil.exe (version 2.somthing).....Service is starting properly now but while uninstalling service is not stopping/deleting however I have set the property "Uninstall Stop = YES" for the service component in installshiled......any idea about this???

Maybe you have to add a custom action to the package that stops the service?
