Hi all fellows, I would be glad if anyone could help me on this...
I need a service that runs in background, in a 5 seconds slice time (every 5 seconds, it must run), executing some codes that are encapsulated in a dll.
I could develop a windows service to do that, but I guess a far more elegant and easier solution would be using global.asax. Ive searched for solutions based on this approach in the web, but couldnt find much material on it.
Please, could anyone share experiences, help me on giving tips or even better indicating a path (which event in global.asax to use for instance) to follow..
I will highly appreciate any help on this!!!
Thanks a lot!

Would be great more explanation about what are you trying to do.
Probably the service approach is the best. On global asax you will find events that are fired at any moment. You cannot be sure that any event of global asax will be fired every 5 seconds or less in order to be sure that you will be able to execute the repetitive
The task depends on user input?
