I am looking for a HttpModule to reduce the size of Viewstate on the pages on my web site. Anywhere on the web where I could find one or assistance in writing / coding one?

Also, any other http modules to improve the performance of a webiste, compression http modules etc?

If you use gzip to compress your pages in their entirety, then you'll get a reduced footprint for viewstate automatically as it is part of your page. You could use something like Blowery to compress your pages: http://www.blowery.org/code/HttpCompressionModule.html

I do not show how to compress the ViewState using a Module, but I do show how to move it to the bottom of the page in my WROX BLOX that was just released. I am looking at doing what you are talking about as soon as I have some cycles to work it out. I think that particular module will be a stepping stone.
