It automatically log me in ASP.net forum from one computer that I've been using. But when I use a new computer I can't login. I thought may be because of wrong user name and password. I requested for a password change and got a link to change my password. I followed the link and reset the password. Then, I try to login and it's still doesn't work. I try both email address and pinky8 as user name and none of them work. Who should I contact about this? Thanks.

 Exact same problem for me.  I'm automatically logged in on my work computer, but I can't login from home.  I reset my password from home as well, but still coudn't log in.  Tried email and username both, just like the poster above.  Nothing works.

Does anyone know whom I should contact to have this fixed? Thanks.

Hi, my suggestion is to clear your cookies and cached internet files, and try again.  Please be sure to use your username (e.g. pinky8) and not your email address when you log in.

If you are still having problems, you can use the "Questions/Problems" link at the bottom of the page to open a support ticket. 

one additional thing to check is to make sure you haven't accidentally set your browser to block cookies altogether from this site.  If you have blocked the site cookie, the symptom would be that you could make it sucessfully though the login page without any errors, but after logging in, you would end up not actually logged in.

I tried Terri's suggestion and still can't login.

In regard to cookie, the privacy setting for the internet zone is medium high which is different from the machine that works (medium). 

I just tested Medium-High and that doesnt appear to be blocking the site cookie.

In the Privacy settings area, check your Site list to see if you have a specific block and also check your Advanced settings to see if you are overriding automatic cookie handling.

It has no specific block.

can you be more specific , what did you mean by "doesn't work " , are you getting " wrong username or password " message  ?

Or After trying to login , are you getting redirected to Search page ? if yes , then I think the problem is that you are pressing the enter key instead of clicking the login button by the mouse

and since the Default button in login page is the Search Button(some times not always !) , i think hitting the Enter key will redirect you to the search  page and will not submit the user/password !

If thats your case ,try  Explicitly click the login button by the mouse !

It happened to me before ... and I realized that I'm hitting the search button when i press the Enter Key !

I clicked the login button. It didn't redirect to the Search page. It gave the following error:

"The username and/or password cannot be validated, or your account is locked out or has not been approved yet."

I thought may be because I tried too many times. So, I reset the password again and try it again. It still give the same error.

try login from other than your current browser,if possible,change your current browsers temperory internet files and cookies and try

I did all of that already and still the same error.

I had the same problem.  As it turns out, I was trying to use my e-mail address as my username.

In the forgotten password e-mail that is automatically sent to you, you will see your username.

I did use my username from the forgotten password e-mail and still have the problem.
