I know this is a little flippant but I'm not alone in being quite tired of the constant change. Of course it'll never be any different but.. just getting it off my chest:

Once we're up to speed and comfortable with one version the next version is already getting old!

Why don't you all take a long holiday, or go develop something else for a while!!

My requested feature for the next version: make it the same as the old - just this once! Give us a break so that the software we developed yesterday will last at least a month before it starts looking out of date...

    Regards.

Microsoft is enhancing its products day by day. Obviously if they do not release there products periodically and release once in a five year or 10 years say, it would be a lot of content to learn at that time. What enhancements microsoft provides are for benifit in some way or other.

But in a way you are also right, it takes time to learn, while we are learning 2.0 they released 3.0 and now 3.5. There speed is way too fast.

Do mark as answer if it helps

I do not mind the various service packs and the incremental upgrades, however the cost of an upgrade to Visual Studio is significant.

Yes there are new items coming out every few months. This may be inconveniant but a little delay for regression testing will lead to products being released at various times.
