I am using a datalist to present a list of data from my MS Access database.
Text='<%# Eval("date") %>'
In my Access database I have set the DataType to Date/Time, and the format to Short Date. Nevertheless, the Datalist shows a Long Date.
I have deleted the table once, and set it up again, but no change. 06.04.2008 00:00:00 Is what is beeing displayed.
As I am fairly new to ASP.Net, I am now looking for a C#-way to show only the 10 first numbers/letters/signs like it was done in ASP with Left(Date;10)
So, if it is not possible to change the output in the DataList, could anyone explain to me how to display only the 10 first letters/numbers of <%# Eval("date") %> ?

This should give you a short date string:
