Just because your an MCP doesn't mean you know anything about real world use of .NET. Yes its nice to have but only if you used the technology for a few years first. MCP's are not really preferred in the real world, they are a nice to have but 99.9% of the
jobs its not required. I had an MCP working for me and I let him go because when it came down to real world experience he was totally clue less on the technology. I shouldn't see an MCP going to a non MCP for basic .NET questions. In my opinion just because

Now for the original poster, it really depeends on what part of web development you want to get into. There's the front end designer that designs the GUI, there's a web application developer, that writes the code to the web app, (db access, business logic,
etc) and there's something that I'm seeing pop up now and again, its being called the "web application BA', (another fancy term for BA, in my opinion) its the person that works with the business or customer to gather specs on what kind of application they
want and what it should do.
Well do you mean that taking certification exam like MCP,MCTS etc arent going to do better for me in terms
of experience as well as finding job.?
Ok i've been reading and practicing lots of articles in this website to learn myself.
now do you think thats good enough for entry level programmer like me to get a job?

Front end designer work is just to create a design for the website right?(i hope i can use dreamweaver for this too.)
what part of asp.net refers to business logic?well db means database(ADO.net etc right?)

I think i am more interested in "web application BA'' .
well i want to have more information on this.
like whats the role of this job?whats knowledge should i have for this job?
so any links to the article relating to the this topic?

What sort of experience do i need to get into web development company?
Mar 02, 2008 03:56 AM|LINK
Hi,
In lots of job search sites relating to .net web developer, the company often asks
candidate with atleast 1 year experience in the field.
But i want to know exactly what sort of experience do i need to gain inorder to
get into the web developement companies?
Since i am a new to this field.i have relatively no experiece.
But i want to know what should i focus and practice on web development so that i can
say i have a experiece on .net.
Do i need to have bits of knowledge in every part of web development using .net or should it be better
if i practice more on particular areas in .net?
secondly what are the areas i can work on if i learn .net(web developement)?
thanks.
jack.

Business Logic is creating an algorithm to solve a particular problem.
You could use just plain C# or VB.NET to do that.
You could also use Components, Web Services, .NET Remoting, Enterprise Services
The BLL is the middle tier between the Graphic User Interface(GUI) and the Data Access Layer(DAL)
