I noticed that the templates work in Visual Web Developer 2008 on Windows XP but on a PC running Windows Vista and Trial edition of VS .Net 2008 it doesnt show the template. Does anyone know if the problem is with Vista or VS .Net 2008 Trial edition?

Not sure about a Vista issue, but keep in mind a vsi is a disguised zip file, rename its extention to zip, unzip it and you can add the site that way.

I did that and saved it to the following locations

C:\Documents and Settings\StandardUser\Documents\Visual Studio 2008\Templates\ProjectTemplates\Visual Basic and also

    C:\Documents and Settings\StandardUser\Documents\Visual Studio 2008\Templates\ProjectTemplates\

On a Vista PC running trial version of VS .Net 2008 and still didnt work. Any other ideas?

OK, doing it that way you need to put it in the vwd2008 website folder as a sub folder. It is no longer template, you will have to use Open Web Site from the file menu click on the folder whithin the vwd2008 website folder. it should ask you if you want to convert it to a 3.5 app, this is not nessissary but should still work.

Ok well I have a question.  I downloaded the VSI and ran it which went through a wizard and installed a zip file in C:\Users\Chris\Documents\Visual Studio 2008\Templates\ProjectTemplates\Visual Web Developer\CSharp but how do I get it to show up as a template/project when I click create project in Visual Studio 2008?
