Does anyone now are using WebHost4Life for hosting your web site?

I just registered a hosting service on WH4L last week.  I am developing a web site now and I try run on live, so I upload there but It slow on the preformance.
Just asked their staff to help about their server and network problem, but they just told me to restart the app. pool when it slow again. (Well, what a good solution they have Sad)
I tried upload my web site on other web hosting server, it's working smoothly on other server. And I am sure that my programming skill not that poor to make all web pages take 20 or more sec. to load.

So how's you guys web site preformance hosted in WH4L?  Is it like that sometimes? Or my problem need to set something?

     Thanks

with shared hosting (which I'm assuming you are using) you can run that risk.

I've had quite good results from all my WH4L sites. There have been times with slower perf then I'd prefer but never a 20 sec/page like you indicated (excluding first launch compililation but even then it's not 20sec).

I've heard people say that they requested to be moved to a different server and this has had good results for them.

It might happen that you are placed on a highly loaded server. Hence, the best option with WH4L is to switch servers! You can request them for it.

    Good luck!

i'm sure that is the reason. Tell them to move your site. I had the same problem (over 30 sec. to load the page !!! ) and now it takes less than 1 sec :).

Anyway if your site is commercial app. and you plan to make $ with it MOVE YOUR SITE to different host. WH4L it is good hosting for site you run for fun, nothing more....

Oh ok thanks, I understand what you mean XD...

Yes, I'm planning to make some income with my web site.  I also feel their server not reliable enough, cause sometime I asked them why can login to database etc...
They said they are doing maintenance job on the servers.
(I did techical support when I was in high school, and it didn't happen to the server I maintain on... lol)

Well, I guess I have look on other hosting provider.
My web site are going to need stable network at least, and around 2G storage for files, and 2 databases. And allow to set the server Worker Process premission

So how is about DiscountASP or Orcs Web, anyone try this two before?

If you are going to be relying on the site uptime for income you do NOT want to use ANY host package that's SHARED...regardless of the provider.

You will need dedicated, even if its virtual, otherwise you always have the possibility of other sites impacting you.

I have to disagree with Curt on this one.  There are hundreds of thousands (possibly millions) of web sites that are legitimate businesses that use shared hosting companies.  You DO NOT need a dedicated server to have a successful ecommerce site.  You can most definitely use a shared hosting package.

I would recommend using  Discountasp.  I've used them for years (having them host many of my clients business sites) and their uptime is fine.  I do not recommend using WH4L for a business site because as the original poster has stated their uptime is pathetic and their only tech support solution is to move your site to another server (which is lame), and which has been clearly mentioned here.
