How is it possible that the Last 30 Days Top Answerer (johram) with 199 questions answered is not included in the Top Answerers for the last year (#100 has 75 answers)?
From my perspective: Either the query is broken, data is being pulled from a cache that is never updated, or the underlying data is not being updated.

Well, I've gained most of my points the past month. If the query filters on people who actually posted last year, then I am nowhere near the top. But hopefully I will be this year. Or the next year's last year scores [;)]
If this post was useful to you, please mark it as answer. Thank you!
Maybe my understanding of "Last Year" is wrong; I assumed it mean "Last 12 Months". To me that info means more than from January 1, 2006 - December 31, 2006.

You're probably right. They probably mean posts that are within the 365 days of 2006.
Nevertheless, it is an interesting issue. One can never be too certain that other users will understand your thoughts and intentions. Better be overexplicit [:D]

Last 12 Months (meaning between today and 365 days ago)
2007 Top Answerers
2006 Top Answerers
2005 Top Answerers
etc.
Or maybe even open it up with a Top Answerers in range: Start Date to End Date.

Can't be. I appear on that list, and don't remember providing answers last year. The data must cover the last 12 months. Not only that, but the points thing only came into being around November last year, as I recall.
The data for that list should be coming from posts answered in the past 365 days. I believe that those statistics are calculated with a scheduled job rather then trying to do it in real-time. It looks like that background job may have stalled.
Thanks for pointing this out.

P.S. - The reason I am bringing this up is that I think this is a great way for ASP.Net to reward it's contributors in a way more than just points. For example, I could put "www.ASP.net Top 25 Answerer (August 2007) - Official Microsoft ASP.net web site
with over 315,000 members and 1.7 million posts" on my resume, and in the future a potential employer could come to the site to verify.

Mike, thank you for your response. Glad to see that you were able to figure out what was going on. As you can see from my previous post I had a selfish reason for wanting it fixed or improved[:D]

Just a quick question about Top Answerers...

Maybe there could be a couple more selections:
Last 12 Months (meaning between today and 365 days ago)
2007 Top Answerers
2006 Top Answerers
2005 Top Answerers
etc.
Or maybe even open it up with a Top Answerers in range: Start Date to End Date.

I know, (and correct me if I'm wrong) but wasn't all members retroactively credited for old posts?
