I am a recent graduate and are looking to use of the starter kits "Classified Starter Kit" but have not been able to install the C# one.
I have read all the posts and havent seen anyone with a similar problem. I guess i am not doing something right.
I have decided to register and plea to you guys for help.
When i try to install, it comes back saying "Error Installing! Installation stopped because the directory for the ProjectType value did not exist. The project type is invalid for your installation of Visual Studio."
I am using a Visual Web Developer 2005 Express Edition.

It's pretty easy for the most part.
You didn't mention it, but I'm assuming you downloaded the .net framework along with the visual web developer, right.
And you downloaded the classifieds starter kit file "class.vsi"
when you click on class.vsi it will automatically install to a specific folder, that location path is:
My Documents, Visual Studio 2005, Templates, ProjectTemplates, VisualWebDeveloper.
There you will find if checked when you opened the class.vsi file, a C# classifieds zip file.
So If you would like your website files to be here, unzip it, otherwise move them to where you want.
Open Visual Web Developer, choose open web site, and click on the root folder for your site.
It will then load the application, and use the solutions tool bar on the right to select files to modify, such as default.aspx
That's pretty much it.
Let me know if you're still having trouble.
