I am trying to uninstall the IronPython for ASP.NET CTP, but Visual Studio is crashing during the uninstall process and Windows Installer keeps rolling back the uninstallation. I encounter the same problem when I try to install the May 2007 Futures over the top of the IronPython for ASP.NET CTP. Are there any registry hacks that I can use to manually uninstall the old CTP?

"IronPython for ASP.NET CTP" cannot be uninstalled when VS is running and the corresponding package is loaded. However, it's a bit unusual that instead of a setup failure, VS crashed!

 Anyway, in order to have ASP.NET Futures CTP installed, there is a registry hack you could try. Remove below key:

 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\VisualStudio\8.0\Packages\{c028a7f9-dfa1-41e8-b834-f96eb092480a}

Actually, Visual Studio is not running while I am uninstalling IronPython for ASP.NET; however, I still get a Visual Studio crash dialog box near the end of the uninstallation process. I suppose the installer is probably launching devenv in the background to unregister some things. That is probably the step at which it is erroring out. I'll try the registry fix you provided, though.
