I get an error when I try to bring up the Choose Toolbox Items (right click in the Toolbox panel > Choose Items...) and then the .Net Framework Components tab. The error is: 'An error occurred loading this property page.' I get this same error in other
areas of VS 2005 like Tools > Options > Windows Form Designer. In another forum, I read that if you change your OS's WIndow Display Properties > Appearance > Advanced > Icon to a true type font like Tahoma, it would work (which it did for a few users), but
unfortunately, mine was already set to Tahoma and didn't work. Has anyone encountered this bug and gotten a fix? Any help would greatly be appreciated.
Based on my research, I find a case which has the same error message with yours. The issue was resolved by running “devenv /setup” in Visual Studio 2005 Command Prompt.
I’m not sure if this works on you machine. Please try it, I do hope it is helpful.

The problem I was experiencing was that when I opened up my web.config in Visual Studio 2005 it only showed as black and white text and had no intellisense. It did started doing this out of of the blue about a week, but had previously worked fine before

to see if I could adjust options to fix the problem and inside the properties pane on the left all it displayed was: "An error occurred loading this property page"
Running that command of "devenv /setup" in the Visual Studio 2005 Command Prompt like you suggested worked great!

hi i got problem with toolbox is not displaying so i ran "devenv/setup" in command prompt.
it make my tool box work normally but the property window is still bank for the antrols can any on help me.

By any chance have any of you installed VS2008 prior to this error. This stopped working for me right after I installed VS_2008
This did not work for me, I get a Not reponding message when I try and Open the Choose Toxbox Item.
