The file http://localhost/MyWebFolder/GetEmployees.asp is classic asp and asp.net! To get a classic asp page to work, you will have to specifically enable classic asp on the site.

If you working on ASP 2.0 then your file extension should be aspx.....
Now if you are working on asp then it is fine that your file extension is asp..... and error indicating that something is wrong in your data access/database....

Ok. That explains alot. thanks for the heads up guys. I'm thinking I'm gonna make alot of mistakes like that.. I'm a newbie and I think it's pretty damn hard to learn asp.net on my own.
