Tried Procedure DWSPV.31: To deploy the MPS core platform.

Server Default locale is 2057 (UK), whilst SQL Server on MPS01 reports 1033

    Start Deployment causes:

    Exception: Microsoft.Provisioning.DeploymentTool.Engine.DeploymentExceptionPrerequisiteFailure
Message: Server 'MPS01' fails at least one prerequisite check.

        Exception: Microsoft.Provisioning.DeploymentTool.Engine.ServerPrerequisiteException
Message: Default server locale is 2057, should be one of: 1033

Well setting the locale in control panel to US seems get it past this error.  But it would have been nice to see the installed obey the locale correctly.

I ran into the same issue. Microsoft advise that they only test (and therefore support) the US English locale.

    Cool eh?

They also point out that locale on server wont impact end-user functionality, as exchange uses the client locale for OWA/Outlook etc.

    Regards
    Julian

Yes, you need to change the default server locale to "English / United States", but you also need to check the "Default user account settings" checkbox at the "Advanced" tab in order to make it work.

    Thanks :)
